Once Upon a Time
...this theme of the
ʻAustralian Fairytales,ʼ
was spurred on by my then nine-year-old daughter Ginger.
Combining universally-known legends for children with
Australian icons, gives me a platform to explore cross-cultural connections
between my mother country Austria, and my current home Australia.
Some fairytales are easy to recognise,
others are harder to pick.
My objective is to create a thought provoking energy
by combining the real with the surreal, and the past with the present.
I like to explore on a visual basis if fairytales are relevant today and if we still want to see
Happily Ever After?
